Organisational Structure

The Executive Committee is drawn from Council and is charged with
implementing actions agreed by Council. Its membership is as follows:

The Council consists of approximately half the total membership,
entitlement to a seat at Council being determined by the size of the
fishery board. The size of a fishery board is determined by the rateable
value of the fishings in the Board area (determined impartially by the
local authority assessor) which in turn relates partly to the total
number of salmon taken within that Board area. Those 16 fishery boards
with the highest total rateable values are entitled to a seat at
Council. The remaining Boards have seats at Council based on
representation from groups of smaller Boards in predetermined regions.
